After starting their own handyman service just before the corona lockdown, habicom is once again coming out with big news today. The young real estate company from Mortsel is adding two new branches in addition to the four offices in the southern outskirts of Antwerp: an office in Antwerp and a mobile version in a van. "It has long been a dream to also open a habicom office in the city," says Naranjo Decamps, director of habicom. "That dream is now becoming a reality. We found the ideal location and property where the well-known shoe store Monar was located for 35 years. In the shadow of the old courthouse on the corner of Paleisstraat and Anselmostraat." The new habicom office will open in October.
The call from Antwerp is very strong. Our customers have been asking for years when we would finally open an office in the city. We notice that many people from the city move to the southern outskirts as soon as they start expanding their families. But the opposite also happens. People whose children have left home like to return to the city. There, they can enjoy everything Antwerp has to offer within walking distance. Our office will be housed in the former Monar shoe store building, diagonally across from the old courthouse. It is currently under renovation and is expected to be fully restored in 2022 as the Court of Appeal. Undoubtedly, this will bring a lot of dynamism to the neighborhood again."
In addition to the new office in Antwerp, the real estate experts at habicom are expanding further with a somewhat surprising concept; a mobile habicom office. "A real estate office is not a supermarket where you walk in every week. For some, the threshold remains high to come in and ask for information. Besides selling and renting real estate, our main task is to provide advice. When is the best time to put my house on the market? Should I carry out renovations before selling? What should I do if my tenant refuses to allow visits? Customers dare to ask us these questions, but for non-customers, it is often less obvious. Well, we want to be there for them too. And so the idea matured to go to the people ourselves. Last week we applied for our mobile business card and we have since bought a food truck that we are converting into our habi-home (motorhome). The intention is to set up at markets and events. But the truck can also be used for the launch and promotion of new construction projects or neighborhood and street parties. A large digital screen on top of the truck will showcase our properties. For the van, we welcome everyone at tables with coffee and a cookie. Two colleagues will be present to answer all questions. This way, we want to be even closer to the people and show that we do much more than just sell bricks."
